Standing 5’9″ (175.3 cm) and typically wearing a US women’s shoe size 10, Lizzo has been out and about in New York while promoting her debut children’s book, Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin’, showing off two very different laid-back, summer-ready looks.

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the “Truth Hurts” singer embraced a breezy all-white outfit, pairing a lightweight dress with statement Alaïa wedges. More recently, she was spotted outside The View in a more casual ensemble, swapping the flowy dress for jeans and a T-shirt styled with textured croc pumps.

I loved the contrast between the two looks, with one leaning feminine and summery while the other had a more relaxed, street-style feel.

Lizzo Gives Summer White an Architectural Twist in Alaïa Curve Wedges

Lizzo looked fresh and summery in head-to-toe white while promoting her children’s book on Live with Kelly and Mark, and I loved how she kept the dress simple so her accessories and shoes could stand out.

She wore the Alaïa “Curve” wedges, which gave her classic daytime outfit a modern, architectural edge.

Made in Italy from white patent leather, the mules had a smooth, shiny finish that added a more polished touch to Lizzo’s relaxed outfit. They featured an asymmetric strap that sat across the toes and extended slightly toward the outer side of the foot, leaving the inner side more open to show off the shape of her feet.

The open-toe and backless design kept the shoes light and easy-looking, while the sculptural, curved 3-inch wedge heels added height and a unique geometric shape. I especially liked the contrast between the soft, feminine dress and the structured shoes. Lizzo has embraced white slip-on heels before, including a pair of white Stuart Weitzman Aleena mules at the 2019 American Music Awards, although the sculptural Alaïa wedges give the look a much more architectural feel.

Lizzo paired the mules with a contemporary sleeveless white dress featuring a scoop neckline and fitted bodice that hugged her curves. From there, the skirt fell into an asymmetrical, diagonal high-low hem, with one side cut shorter before sweeping down toward the opposite side.

Subtle pleats and ruffled edges added movement, allowing the lightweight fabric to sway naturally as she walked. The bright white shade also looked beautiful against Lizzo’s skin, making the entire outfit fresh and summery. To me, it had that relaxed resort-wear feel that works just as well for a day in the city.

Known for her love of statement accessories, Lizzo added sparkle to her simple white outfit. ‘70s-inspired tinted sunglasses added a retro touch, while stacked diamond cuffs on both wrists and long earrings brought some drama to the white look.

Her honey-blonde hair fell in long, loose waves, while her nude-toned makeup kept the look fresh and polished.

Lizzo Dresses Up Wide-Leg Jeans With Glossy Croc-Effect Pointed Pumps

For her appearance on The View, Lizzo pulled off a polished take on casual street style, pairing everyday staples with statement pumps. I loved how the simple black-and-denim combination gave her shoes room to stand out!

Her pumps were mostly hidden beneath her wide-leg jeans, but their pointed toes peeking out at the hem still added a sleek, polished touch. They also featured a croc-effect texture for a luxe touch, while the glossy finish added a little shine to the casual outfit. The texture is familiar territory for Lizzo, who previously paired denim with glossy black patent croc-effect ankle boots while promoting “Rumors” in 2021.

I especially liked the V-shaped vamps, which gave the pumps a sleek, elongated look that worked nicely with the wide-leg jeans. Pointed black pumps are also already part of Lizzo’s footwear rotation; she previously wore classic black Jimmy Choo pointed-toe pumps with her sculptural Quine Li gown at the 2024 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony.

While Lizzo’s pumps have not been confirmed, they closely resemble Tom Ford’s croc-effect leather pumps, priced at $1,290 at Net-a-Porter. The Tom Ford style features a similarly sharp pointed toe and glossy croc-effect finish, plus slim ankle straps that crisscross around the ankle and fasten with rectangular buckles, with slender 4-inch heels.

Lizzo paired the pumps with a simple black Acne Studios crew-neck T-shirt, printed with the brand’s “Acne Studios Stockholm 1996” lettering across the chest. Light-wash, high-waisted jeans hugged her hips before falling into an exaggerated wide-leg silhouette, with raw, subtly distressed hems reinforcing the outfit’s relaxed street-style feel.

She skipped jewelry, keeping the outfit simple and casual. Her makeup featured shimmering eyeshadow that added a touch of shine, while her long hair was styled in fishtail braids falling over one shoulder.

Why Sculptural Wedges and Croc-Embossed Pumps Keep Standing Out

Lizzo’s two New York looks tap into a wider celebrity footwear mood: statement shoes that make their impact through shape and texture rather than excessive embellishment.

Alaïa’s sculptural wedges give the easy mule silhouette an architectural edge, while glossy croc-embossed pumps bring depth and polish to the classic pointed toe. As these celebrity looks show, both can transform even the simplest outfit.
