Irina Shayk gave Michael Kors’ polished tailoring a head-to-toe metallic treatment at the designer’s Fall/Winter 2022 runway show, presented at Terminal 5 in New York City on February 15, 2022. She walked the runway in a silver double-breasted coat dress with structured shoulders, notched lapels, and a matching belt, finishing the monochrome look with pointed gray suede pumps.

Standing about 5’9″ (175.3 cm) and wearing a US shoe size 9, Shayk extended the clean line of the metallic coat with streamlined pointed-toe heels. The gray suede footwear also continued a Michael Kors runway thread for the model: a year earlier, she walked the designer’s Fall/Winter 2021 show in matching gray suede knee-high boots.

From Michael Kors Pumps to Chunky UGG Clogs

Ahead of the runway show, Shayk was photographed picking up coffee at Joe The Juice in a much more relaxed combination of earthy neutrals, oversized outerwear, and chunky footwear.

She paired a beige ribbed crop top with loose olive-green trousers and an oversized chocolate-brown coat. The relaxed proportions were a sharp departure from the fitted metallic runway look, while the muted brown, beige, and olive palette kept the street-style outfit cohesive.

Shayk kept her accessories understated with narrow rectangular black sunglasses and a delicate gold necklace, leaving the oversized coat and substantial footwear to define the silhouette.

Why the UGG Tasman X Fits Irina Shayk’s Off-Duty Shoe Style

The standout footwear in Shayk’s off-duty outfit was the UGG Tasman X, a waterproof clog that reworks the familiar slip-on shape with a molded shell and chunky sole. The substantial silhouette fits neatly into Shayk’s established preference for chunky soles and utilitarian footwear, including combat boots, lug-soled styles, and technical sneakers.

Unlike the suede upper of many of UGG’s best-known boots and slippers, the Tasman X uses a lightweight, molded waterproof construction. Its removable UGGplush sock liner adds warmth while creating the knit-collar effect visible above the shoe.

The design also illustrates how the traditional clog silhouette has evolved from functional footwear into a wide range of fashion styles. On Shayk, the rounded toe and thick sole provide a deliberately heavier counterpoint to the long, loose line of her trousers.

UGG Tasman X Waterproof Clogs in Burnt Olive

Shayk’s Burnt Olive colorway works particularly well with the outfit because the shoe nearly blends into her olive trousers. Rather than creating the sharp visual endpoint of the gray pumps she wore on the Michael Kors runway, the clogs continue the street look’s muted, utilitarian palette all the way to the ground.

Why UGGs Remain a Celebrity Off-Duty Staple

Shayk’s switch from pointed Michael Kors pumps to chunky UGG Tasman X clogs captures much of UGG’s enduring celebrity appeal. The brand built its reputation around soft, comfortable footwear that slips easily into casual wardrobes—a natural fit for models and actors moving between polished appearances, travel, errands, and downtime. That ease has helped UGGs become a recurring part of the model-off-duty look, where relaxed trousers, leggings, denim, and oversized outerwear often replace red-carpet tailoring.

Comfort is only part of the story. UGG’s sheepskin boots became a defining celebrity shoe of the early 2000s, and that history has given newer silhouettes a strong Y2K connection. Rather than relying solely on the original tall boot, the brand has repeatedly reshaped its signatures through Ultra Minis, platforms, Tasman slippers, clogs, and more experimental versions of familiar UGG shapes. Designer collaborations have pushed that evolution further, with names including Telfar reinterpreting UGG’s recognizable materials and silhouettes.

That balance between familiarity and reinvention helps explain why UGGs can look at home on celebrities with very different personal styles. A compact Mini can disappear beneath casual layers, a platform can deliberately exaggerate an outfit’s proportions, and a Tasman-derived clog can add visual weight without sacrificing the easygoing character that made the brand famous. Shayk’s waterproof Tasman X is a good example: next to her sleek gray runway pumps, it shows just how far apart celebrity footwear can sit while still making sense within the same wardrobe.
