Cynthia Erivo Sharpens a Khaite Bronte Dress With Louboutin So Kate Pumps
Cynthia Erivo kept her footwear classic beneath the dramatic proportions of her black Khaite dress, choosing Christian Louboutin’s “So Kate” pumps in black suede.
The shoes featured the So Kate’s signature sharply pointed toes, low-cut vamps, and slender high heels. The streamlined silhouette created a restrained counterpoint to Erivo’s voluminous gown.

Erivo has also worn more dramatic footwear from the French luxury label. Earlier in 2026, she stepped out in Christian Louboutin Cassia platform pumps with a Balenciaga gown at the Critics’ Circle Film Awards.
The So Kate itself has become one of Christian Louboutin’s most recognizable celebrity pumps. Zendaya has repeatedly returned to the silhouette, and our look at Zendaya’s Christian Louboutin So Kate heels explores the pointed-toe design and its enduring red-carpet appeal.
Erivo paired the pumps with Khaite’s sculptural “Bronte” dress from the Fall/Winter 2026 collection. The strapless bodice was made from black velvet and opened into a voluminous bubble peplum with pleated tiers of silk organza. Below, the tiered skirt continued with more tucking and pleating, while a hand-ruched organza bustle added volume and shape at the back.
The Bronte dress is available directly from Khaite, alongside the label’s current dress collection.
Erivo added plenty of metallic texture with her jewelry, wearing her signature septum ring and David Webb Studio earrings along with stacked bracelets and rings, including the David Webb New York Bombe Rock crystal cocktail ring and Small Oval Buckle ring.

Keke Palmer Revisits Archival Alexander McQueen Pumps With a Saint Laurent Mini
Keke Palmer leaned into ’90s-inspired glamour with a warm monochromatic combination of a chocolate-brown Saint Laurent mini dress and tortoiseshell-effect Alexander McQueen pumps.
Her peep-toe heels featured glossy, mosaic-like croc embossing, giving the shoes a richly textured finish. Wave-like cutouts shaped the vamp, while a subtle platform and towering stiletto heels added height.
The archival McQueen pumps were already part of Palmer’s 2026 wardrobe. During her I Love Boosters press tour in May, she wore the same tortoiseshell-effect Alexander McQueen peep-toe pumps with tan suede pants and a vintage Roberto Cavalli python jacket, leaning much more heavily into their Y2K character.

At around 5’5″ (165 cm) with a US shoe size 9, Palmer has experimented with everything from sleek pumps to platforms and embellished sandals.
Palmer paired the textured pumps with a chocolate-brown satin Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2024 mini dress that picked up the warm tones of her shoes. The structured halter neckline flowed into a fitted shift silhouette, with clean seams running down the front and sides.
Large hoop earrings and stacks of silver and diamond bracelets brought a metallic contrast to the brown palette, while a hand-chain ring added another sparkling detail. Her voluminous auburn curls and glossy nude lip reinforced the ’90s-inspired styling.

Tracee Ellis Ross Grounds Bottega Veneta Faux Fur With Giuseppe Zanotti Slingbacks
Tracee Ellis Ross paired one of the evening’s most voluminous outfits with comparatively delicate footwear: black satin Giuseppe Zanotti slingback sandals.
The shoes featured a curved strap across the toes and a slim slingback around the heel. Pointed peep toes revealed her burgundy pedicure, while slender stiletto heels kept the profile streamlined.

Standing 5’7″ (170.2 cm) and wearing a US shoe size 8.5, Ross has worn everything from classic pumps to barely-there sandals, with Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman, and Aquazzura among the footwear brands in her YNS fashion archive.
She paired the Giuseppe Zanotti heels with a cream faux-fur coat dress from Bottega Veneta’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection. The shaggy texture covered the entire piece, from its voluminous long sleeves to its floor-skimming hem. A plunging neckline broke up the oversized silhouette.
Ross skipped a necklace and statement earrings, instead carrying a burgundy Bottega Veneta bag that added a deep contrasting color against the cream coat. Her slicked-back hair also kept the focus on the outfit’s texture and proportions.

Greta Gerwig Goes Minimal in Giuseppe Zanotti Intriigo Sandals and Sculptural Ashlyn
Greta Gerwig chose Giuseppe Zanotti’s “Intriigo” sandals in glossy black patent leather, a minimalist design built around sharp lines rather than heavy embellishment.
The sandals featured pointed open toes, a curved strap across the toes, slim ankle straps secured with small buckles, and approximately 4-inch stiletto heels.
You can explore the current Intriigo collection directly at Giuseppe Zanotti.

The Intriigo has appeared repeatedly on red carpets. Renate Reinsve wore red Giuseppe Zanotti Intriigo sandals at the 2026 Academy Awards, showing how the minimalist silhouette can take on a different character in a vivid color.
Gerwig, who stands 5’8½” (174 cm), paired her understated heels with a sculptural Ashlyn Fall/Winter 2026 dress.
The black dress featured an architectural one-shoulder design accented with a ruffled floral corsage. A crisp folded overlay added structure at the neckline, while the skirt flowed into a voluminous, draped cocoon shape that tapered to an ankle-length hem.
Gerwig wore her hair slicked back in a wet-look style and kept her jewelry minimal with small stud earrings.

Katy Perry Doubles Down on Shine With René Caovilla Ellabrita Heels and Christian Siriano
Katy Perry brought shine all the way down to her shoes, wearing René Caovilla’s “Ellabrita” sandals in a silver-gray finish.
Made in Italy from satin and nappa leather, the sandals featured slender crystal-encrusted straps across the toes and around the ankles. Open toes, slim high heels, and René Caovilla’s glittering Stardust soles continued the shimmering finish.
The Ellabrita has also appeared on other celebrity red carpets. Maya Jama previously wore rose-gold René Caovilla Ellabrita sandals with crystal-covered straps and glittering soles at the 2019 GQ Men of the Year Awards.
These sandals are also available in gold for $1,400 at Mytheresa.

Perry has long incorporated embellished footwear into her evening wardrobe. She previously stepped out in crystal-embellished Prada sandals and Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies pumps, showing two very different approaches to statement evening heels.
Standing 5’7″ (170.2 cm) with a US shoe size 8, Perry paired the sparkling René Caovilla sandals with a Christian Siriano Spring/Summer 2026 gown.
Crafted from crushed velvet, the pale fabric had a liquid-like sheen. A sculptural one-shoulder neckline balanced soft ruching and draping around the bodice and hips before the fabric fell into a floor-length column skirt.
Perry kept her accessories minimal with a delicate silver bracelet. Her dark hair was parted in the middle and styled in soft waves, while a red lip added contrast to the pale gown.

Kris Jenner Goes Tonal in Navy Satin Pumps and Sequined Chanel
Kris Jenner stayed with a head-to-toe navy palette, finishing her Chanel look with satin D’Orsay pumps.
The shoes exposed the sides of her feet and featured pointed toes, slim ankle straps, slender heels, and oversized structured bows at the back. The designer of the pumps has not been confirmed, so the shoes are best described by their construction rather than attributed to a specific label.

At 5’5½” (166.4 cm) with a US shoe size 9, Jenner has regularly used sharply structured pumps and sandals to finish her event looks.
Jenner paired the pumps with a matching navy slip-style dress featuring a plunging neckline. Over it, she wore a Chanel Monte Carlo double-breasted coat covered in midnight-blue sequins, adding texture and shine to the otherwise tonal outfit.
The coat was originally styled with a turquoise belt, but Jenner skipped it, allowing the long silhouette to hang more loosely around her frame.
She kept her accessories understated with delicate earrings and rings, while soft, side-swept bangs framed her face.

Miranda Kerr Pairs Barely-There Aquazzura Mules With Jeweled Rebecca Vallance
Miranda Kerr chose barely-there Aquazzura mules to balance the intricate embellishment of her Rebecca Vallance dress.
The sandals featured two transparent PVC straps, one crossing the toes and another sitting across the instep. Open toes and backs kept the design visually light, while metallic silver soles and slender high heels added subtle shine.

Transparent footwear can work almost like a neutral when paired with an embellished dress. Our guide to styling transparent shoes and clear heels looks at how PVC, Perspex, and Lucite footwear has been worn with everything from evening dresses to more casual outfits.
Kerr stands 5’8¼” (173.4 cm) and wears a US shoe size 8.
She paired the Aquazzura mules with a custom “Crown Jewel” dress from Rebecca Vallance’s Holiday 2026 collection. The strapless black column dress had a fitted silhouette covered in an intricate silver lattice pattern.
The crisscrossing lines formed geometric diamonds across the dress, with sparkling gemstones positioned at the intersections.
Kerr kept her accessories minimal with diamond stud earrings and pulled her hair into a sleek bun.

Doja Cat Towers in Clear Platform Mules and Hot-Pink Nue Studio
Doja Cat took a very different approach to transparent footwear, choosing towering clear platform mules beneath her hot-pink Nue Studio dress.
The shoes featured a wide clear vinyl strap across the toes, substantial transparent platforms, open backs, and dramatically high clear heels. Their exaggerated proportions are reminiscent of the platform styles associated with Pleaser, although the designer of this particular pair has not been confirmed.

The Pleaser comparison is particularly relevant because Doja Cat has worn the brand before. At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, the 5’2″ singer wore custom Pleaser mules with towering platforms and sky-high heels. Those butter-yellow shoes used a similar open-backed platform construction but created a very different effect through their opaque color.
For the Lucas Museum opening, Doja paired the clear platforms with Nue Studio’s hot-pink “Daphne” dress. The design featured an open side and exposed back balanced by a high halter neckline with a choker-style collar.
Horizontal draping gathered around the hips, while an oversized jeweled brooch accented the waist. A high slit exposed the leg above a flowing asymmetric skirt.
Doja added chunky earrings, bracelets, and rings, while the transparent platforms provided dramatic height without introducing another competing color.
