Comer slipped into Givenchy’s “Shark Pinch” boots, Sarah Burton’s take on one of the French fashion house’s most recognizable boot silhouettes.
The original Shark boots debuted in the Pre-Fall 2012 collection under the creative direction of Riccardo Tisci and became known for their sculptural, layered construction, which wrapped around the leg before extending down into covered 3.5-inch wedge heels. The design drew inspiration from horse riding and the look of flared trousers falling over heels, which gave the boots their unique shape.
The original style also featured a hidden padlock secured with a shark-tooth metal element, along with the signature pointed toes that have remained part of the Shark boot’s recognizable DNA.

Burton recently reworked the classic silhouette with the Shark Pinch, adding metal “Pinch” hardware across the top of the shaft. The detail was borrowed from Burton’s signature bag designs, giving the boots a fresh update while keeping the recognizable Shark shape.
The boots also continue Comer’s relationship with Sarah Burton’s Givenchy. At the 2025 Fashion Awards, Comer wore Givenchy’s black leather Boudoir bow mules with a sculpted black leather gown from the house.
