Margot Robbie dominated the fashion scene at the pre-BAFTA celebrations in London on Saturday, wearing a sparkling black minidress by Chanel, for which she has served as an ambassador since 2018.
BAFTA Nominations for Margot Robbie
Robbie is up for two BAFTAs, one for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Barbie and another for Outstanding British Film for producing the black comedy psychological thriller Saltburn.
The Barbie movie, which was snubbed for Best Film, received five nominations, including Best Original Screenplay, Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design. To everyone’s surprise, Greta Gerwig didn’t receive a nomination for Best Director. Saltburn, meanwhile, also received five nods, including Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actor and Best Actress in a Supporting Role, Best Original Score, and Outstanding British Film.
This year’s ceremony is scheduled at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, February 19, and will be hosted by David Tennant.

Before the main event, Margot Robbie walked the red carpet at the National Gallery for the BAFTA Nominees’ Party, sponsored by Bulgari, and at the Hertford Street Club for Charles Finch and Chanel’s Pre-BAFTA Party. Robbie wore the same shimmering look on both occasions.

Eschewing the Barbie-pink outfits she had recently been wearing, Margot Robbie favored a glittery LBD that highlighted her toned legs.
Glimmering black sequins adorned Margot’s stunning black mini-dress, making her stand out from every angle. It had a strapless V-neckline that revealed a hint of cleavage, embellished with sparkling crystals and contrasting white sequins.
Robbie was once spotted on the orange carpet wearing a glistening black trench coat with ornate gold buttons down the front, which she later removed to show off her gorgeous LBD.

She enhanced her 5’6″ height with sparkly black mules with peep toes that displayed her nude pink pedicure.
Margot chose minimal jewelry to keep the focus on her shimmering dress. She accessorized her appearance with a few rings while leaving her neck bare.

A $4,500 black Chanel Mini Shopping Bag completed her accessories for the evening. It featured the French luxury fashion house’s iconic quilting, interlocking C twist-lock closure, top handles, and a long leather-and-chain strap.
When it came to her glam, Margot left her long blonde tresses down, cascading around her shoulders in sultry waves. She wore soft pink eyeshadow and mascara to highlight her glistening blue eyes, then finished her look with pale pink blush and hot pink lipstick for a pop of color.

Margot was accompanied by her husband, Tom Ackerley, who looked sharp in a beige shirt tucked into pinstripe pants and worn beneath a black pinstripe jacket. He accessorized his ensemble with chunky oxford shoes.
