For the event, Lady Amelia chose a pair of shoes from Flabelus, the Spanish label known for its handcrafted velvet slippers and Mary Janes made using sustainable practices.
She wore the “Sophie” Mary Jane flats in luxurious pink velvet, finished with light pink grosgrain trims. Though the silhouette stayed true to the classic Mary Jane design, the oversized strap and chunky, scalloped gold-tone buckle gave it a more contemporary feel.
Another detail I really liked was the hand-sewn espadrille stitching around the sole, made using traditional Spanish techniques. It introduced a relaxed, summery touch that contrasted with the plush velvet upper. These flats were finished with anti-slip rubber soles and recycled microfiber insoles that were breathable and highly absorbent.
