Apparently, one broken toe wasn’t enough to convince Isla Fisher to take a break from her heels.
Just days after revealing that she had landed in the hospital after a fall in a pair of silver Christian Louboutin heels, the Confessions of a Shopaholic star was back in pumps while promoting her new movie, Spa Weekend, at CBS Mornings. It’s hardly unfamiliar territory for the 5’2″ actress, whose long-running love of height-boosting heels has included everything from towering platforms to pointed-toe stilettos.
Fisher documented the mishap on Instagram, sharing photos from the hospital while still dressed for her night out in a sparkling silver mini dress. In one image, a doctor examined her injured foot while she still wore one of her Louboutin heels. She made light of the accident with the caption, “They said ‘break a leg.’ I broke a toe.”

The mishap probably won’t sour her on Christian Louboutin for long. Fisher has worn the red-soled label for years, from red fishnet-paneled Lagoula T-strap heels during her Now You See Me press tour to red pointed-toe Uptown pumps while promoting Wolf Like Me.
For her CBS Mornings appearance, Fisher traded the towering silver Louboutins for a considerably more understated pair of off-white slingback pumps. The lower-profile heels were an interesting choice with an injured toe—particularly since her bandage was still visible—but they worked beautifully with her classic black Amsale midi dress.

Isla Fisher Makes a Case for Off-White Pumps Despite Her Broken Toe
Fisher’s post-injury footwear may have been more understated than the silver Louboutins that preceded it, but the silhouette was very much in her wheelhouse. She wore shiny off-white patent slingback pumps with low-cut vamps, sharp pointed toes, and slim stiletto heels, with the open sides revealing a glimpse of the bandage on her injured toe.
Pointed-toe pumps have long been one of Fisher’s footwear signatures, particularly flattering on her petite 5’2″ frame thanks to the visually lengthening shape. Here, the creamy off-white patent leather extended that effect while creating a crisp contrast against her black Amsale dress.
The slingback construction at least left the heel and sides of her foot relatively open, though the pointed toe box was an interesting choice considering which part of her foot she had just injured.

Isla Fisher Embraces Classic Elegance in a Black Amsale Dress
Fisher paired the pumps with a black Amsale dress, currently on sale for $1,325 (from $2,650), at Farfetch. The sleeveless design featured a gathered bodice with soft vertical folds, creating a slightly voluminous shape through the bust before narrowing into a wide, fitted waist panel that emphasized her waist.
From there, the dress opened into a full midi skirt with soft pleats throughout. The skirt had plenty of volume while still maintaining a clean shape, falling a few inches below the knees.
I loved how the fitted waist balanced the fuller skirt, creating a flattering silhouette that looked feminine and sophisticated.

Isla Fisher Completes Her Classic Look With Soft Waves and Retro Sunnies
Fisher wore her copper-red hair loose in soft waves, cascading over her shoulders and adding warmth against the black dress.
She kept her makeup polished and understated with a rosy lip. Acetate sunglasses added a classic touch, while simple earrings were the only visible jewelry, keeping the focus on the dress and heels.

Fisher’s determination to stay in stilettos—even with a bandaged toe—feels particularly on-brand for an actress whose footwear archive spans towering platforms, classic pointed pumps, and some seriously memorable red soles.
