Chrissy Teigen has famously said she feels more comfortable in heels than flats, making her choice of towering Giuseppe Zanotti stilettos hardly surprising. At the Bring the Funny premiere at Rockwell Table Stage in Los Angeles on June 26, 2019, she paired the red snake-embossed sandals with a matching wraparound blazer dress.

Wearing a bright red wraparound blazer dress, she skipped the expected neutral heels and matched the look with red snake-embossed Giuseppe Zanotti ankle-strap sandals.

The NBC comedy competition series paired Teigen with fellow judges Kenan Thompson and Jeff Foxworthy, while Amanda Seales hosted.

For the premiere, Teigen’s monochromatic styling highlighted the contrast between her tailored, leg-baring jacket dress and the textured finish of her matching heels.

Her bright red blazer dress combined structured lapels and dropped shoulders with a knotted wraparound waist and asymmetrical hem. Instead of breaking up the color with nude or black footwear, Teigen continued the red from dress to shoes.

The $995 Giuseppe Zanotti sandals were made from snake-embossed leather and featured slender stiletto heels, double ankle straps, and rows of small metallic eyelets. Those hardware details gave the otherwise tonal pairing a little contrast without competing with the dress.

The designer was already familiar territory for Teigen. She has repeatedly worn Giuseppe Zanotti heels on the red carpet, including the geometric Raquel caged sandals at the 2016 NAACP Image Awards. Her later appearances continued the pattern: she chose metallic Zanotti Darcie sandals for the 2020 Grammy Awards and minimalist Harmony sandals for the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Teigen finished the red look with oversized gold hoop earrings and stacked gold rings, which echoed the metallic eyelet detailing on her shoes.

Chrissy Teigen Talks About Luna’s Sense of Humor

On the blue carpet, Teigen also spoke with ET’s Nischelle Turner about her daughter Luna, whom she described as one of the funniest members of the family.

“Luna has amazing timing,” she said of her first child with John Legend. “She is so verbal… Obviously, everyone’s kids say something and you’re like, ‘Where did you get that?’ But with us, it’s like, ‘How did you learn that tone or phrasing?’ She phrases things really well and she, like, holds a beat to give the punch line with things. It’s really interesting. But yeah, she’s so funny.”

“She’s constantly debating and John loves that ’cause he talks to her as if she’s like a counterpart. I mean it’s amazing,” Teigen continued. “… Every day there’s something… If I say something silly, she’ll be like, ‘Oh my God, you’re such a goose.’ I’m like, ‘Where did you get that?'”

“It’s just everything she reads, she holds onto forever,” she shared. “We always tell her to tell us a scary story and she just, like, gets up and she’s like, ‘Once upon a time,’ and it’s so dramatic, the readings of it… Maybe we’re just dorky parents, but we think everything’s funny.”

Giuseppe Zanotti Snake-Print Eyelet Sandals

Originally priced at $995, Teigen’s Giuseppe Zanotti sandals came in bright red and black. The design combined snake-embossed leather with two slim ankle straps punctuated by small metallic eyelets, placing it on the more decorative end of Zanotti’s stiletto-sandal spectrum.

Although this particular 2019 style is no longer part of the current seasonal lineup, the combination of slender straps, high stiletto heels, and attention-grabbing hardware reflects design elements that recur throughout Giuseppe Zanotti’s luxury footwear.

Teigen’s later shoe choices offer useful comparisons. Her metallic Darcie sandals used much cleaner, barely-there straps, while her Harmony sandals pared the silhouette back even further. During her 2021 Cravings promotional appearances, Teigen returned to Giuseppe Zanotti in the Catia sandals, reinforcing the label’s long-running place in her shoe wardrobe.
