On August 19, 2021, Charli D’Amelio stepped out for dinner at 40 Love in West Hollywood wearing an all-black look that paired glossy faux leather with strappy Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Her matching separates came from Copenhagen-based ROTATE Birger Christensen, the label founded in partnership with stylists and influencers Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen and known for partywear, ’80s-influenced silhouettes, and bold prints.
Both pieces were made from vegan faux leather with an embossed snakeskin texture and glossy finish. The strapless “Emili” crop top was structured with internal boning and finished with an exposed back zip, while the coordinating “Rotie” pants used a five-pocket construction and straight-leg silhouette.

Rather than adding another matching snakeskin accessory, D’Amelio carried Jimmy Choo’s Mini Varenne bag in glossy croc-embossed calfskin. Its structured finish introduced a different texture while keeping the outfit entirely black.
She kept her jewelry relatively restrained with a $325 Tiffany Co. Elsa Peretti Color by the Yard pendant, rhodium-plated Adornmonde hoop earrings, and a gold ring. Her long hair was worn loose in waves, with eyeliner, mascara, pink blush, and coordinating lip color.

The footwear provided the clearest contrast in the monochrome outfit. D’Amelio wore the “Vanilla Soft Punk” sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti, an Italian-made design originally priced from about $728 to $895.

The black suede sandals feature slender criss-cross straps secured with small silver-tone buckles, an adjustable ankle strap, and a square open toe. Their metallic silver stiletto heels measure approximately 105 mm, or 4.1 inches, breaking up the otherwise all-black look without competing with the glossy ROTATE separates.
