At the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills on March 27, 2022, Lori Harvey made her red-carpet debut with then-boyfriend Michael B. Jordan in a metallic Tony Ward couture gown and towering silver Jimmy Choo platform sandals.
At 5 feet 3 inches (1.59 m), the petite model got an extra lift from the dramatic platforms alongside the roughly 6-foot Jordan, creating a noticeable height contrast on the red carpet.
Statement footwear has remained part of Harvey’s style in recent years, from strappy Femme L.A. heels with archival Georges Chakra couture to Ferragamo’s sculptural “Igea” mules at Milan Fashion Week.

Harvey wore the “Phenomenon” dress, Look 26 from Tony Ward’s Spring/Summer 2022 Couture collection. The sheer design combined silk-thread and lurex embroidery with a structured circular detail across the torso, then fell into a transparent net skirt and short train.
Styled by Maeve Reilly, Harvey paired the gown with silver Jimmy Choo “Max 150” mirrored platform sandals. The open-toe heels featured substantial platform soles and slim ankle straps, extending the gown’s metallic finish to the floor. Anabela Chan “Canary Calla Lily” earrings and a yellow diamond heart ring from Shay completed the look.
Michael B. Jordan complemented Harvey’s metallic look in a black Tom Ford tuxedo and sleek ankle boots. The appearance marked the couple’s first red carpet together, several months before their relationship ended in June 2022.

The Jimmy Choo Max 150 may be an older red-carpet favorite, but it hasn’t completely disappeared from stores. As of August 2026, the silver glitter version is still occasionally available online, including at Mytheresa, where it was marked down 30% from $995 to $696.
Made in Italy from glitter fabric and goat leather, the silver Max 150 features a round open toe, a slender buckle-fastening ankle strap, a 150mm (6-inch) stiletto heel, and a substantial 45mm (2-inch) platform. Mytheresa notes that the style runs slightly small and recommends trying a half size larger.
The Jimmy Choo platforms represented Harvey’s more glamorous footwear choices, but her off-duty wardrobe was considerably more relaxed.
Just days later in Los Angeles, she paired a Joah Brown half-zip with Lululemon Align leggings and Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 “Static” sneakers, finishing the look with a Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Graffiti Pochette.

Harvey’s Vanity Fair look also followed a run of high-profile fashion appearances, including an all-white Michael Kors Collection suit during New York Fashion Week and a sheer, feathered Roberto Cavalli gown at the 2021 amfAR Gala in Los Angeles.

Why Jimmy Choo’s Max Platforms Became a Red-Carpet Favorite
Lori Harvey’s silver Jimmy Choo Max sandals were largely hidden beneath the sheer skirt of her Tony Ward gown, but the towering platforms have been much easier to spot on other red carpets.
The Max combines a roughly 150mm (six-inch) stiletto heel with a substantial front platform, peep toe, and slim ankle strap, creating dramatic height while reducing some of the pitch that a similarly tall heel would have without a platform.
