Just days after attending Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2021 show, Irina Shayk returned to everyday life in New York City.

Photographed on April 14, 2021, while picking up her daughter Lea de Seine from school, the model demonstrated the polished off-duty style that has become one of her signatures.

Across two casual outings that week, Shayk balanced sharply tailored outerwear with relaxed basics, relying on standout boots to define each outfit. One look centered on Paris Georgia tailoring and sold-out Magda Butrym zebra-print boots, while the other paired a vintage Britney Spears T-shirt with a shearling aviator coat and retro-inspired tan leather square-toe boots.

Look 1: Paris Georgia Tailoring and Magda Butrym Zebra-Print Boots

Irina built the monochrome outfit around a structured double-breasted Paris Georgia blazer with padded shoulders, notched lapels, flap pockets, and a chest welt pocket.

Instead of keeping the tailoring formal, she softened it with an ultra-lightweight white T-shirt and black stretch leggings from Calzedonia, creating a practical school-run outfit that still felt polished.

A relaxed top-knot bun, Givenchy “Pierced Amina” sunglasses, and a black face mask completed the understated off-duty styling.

Gold hoop earrings and layered necklaces added warmth to the otherwise monochrome outfit. She stacked a Jennifer Meyer Channel Set Diamond Baguette Cross necklace with Jennifer Meyer’s Small Edith Link necklace and a Jennifer Zeuner Horizontal Cross necklace, while a structured black Elleme Paris “Dimple” shoulder bag echoed the blazer’s clean lines.

Showing off her stripes, she gave her look a pop of pattern with a pair of zebra-print knee-high boots from one of her favorite labels, Magda Butrym.

The zebra-print knee-high boots became the focal point of the outfit. Crafted from genuine zebra-patterned pony hair, the Magda Butrym design features a sharply pointed toe, a sleek pull-on shaft, and a low 50 mm (about 2-inch) kitten heel that makes the dramatic print surprisingly wearable for daytime.

Originally released as part of Magda Butrym’s Fall/Winter collection, the boots quickly sold out at luxury retailers including Net-a-Porter, Mytheresa, and SSENSE. They have since become sought-after collector’s pieces and are now primarily found through resale platforms such as Vestiaire Collective, The RealReal, and eBay.

Look 2: Vintage Britney Spears Tee and Retro Square-Toe Boots

For another New York outing earlier that week, Shayk took a more nostalgic approach. She layered a vintage Britney Spears graphic T-shirt beneath a brown Yulia Wave sheepskin aviator coat with contrasting cream shearling trim, then paired it with Rolla’s Classic Straight jeans in a vintage-inspired ’90s wash.

The mix of oversized outerwear, faded denim, and vintage graphics gave the outfit a relaxed retro feel while still reflecting her signature polished styling.

Accessories reinforced the vintage mood. She wore a Missoma Gold Axiom Chain necklace, Chrome Hearts oval-framed sunglasses, a Maskc tartan face mask, and carried a brown animal-print By Far “Miranda” shoulder bag.

She completed the outfit with smooth tan leather boots featuring a distinctly retro square toe and an architectural block heel measuring roughly 3 inches. Their clean, minimalist shape balanced the oversized jacket while adding height without competing with the rest of the look.

Like many seasonal designer boots from 2021, this particular silhouette has long since sold out through primary retailers. Similar examples now surface mainly through luxury consignment and vintage marketplaces, where square-toe boots from the era remain popular among collectors of early-2020s fashion.
