Amanda Seyfried and Zoey Deutch brought their summer style to the spotlight at the Miu Miu Women’s Tales event during the 2026 Venice Film Festival, both stepping out in head-to-toe Miu Miu looks.

The two outfits captured Miu Miu’s playful, youthful side from different angles. Seyfried balanced a crystal-fringed lilac mini dress with sleek black mules, while Deutch went crisper in a white eyelet mini and black leather slingback sandals.
For Seyfried, the appearance also continued a particularly strong run with the Italian label. She had already worn Miu Miu’s black Buckle-Trio slingback pumps at the 2026 Berlinale, making her black Venice mules another example of how she uses the brand’s footwear to ground more delicate dresses.

Amanda Seyfried’s Black Miu Miu Mules Ground Her Crystal-Fringed Lilac Mini
I loved Amanda Seyfried’s airy, youthful look here, and the black mules gave the pastel dress a more polished finish. Personally, I might have preferred white shoes to continue the summery palette, but the contrast worked: the black satin visually anchored all that lilac, crystal, and fringe without competing with it.
The choice also makes sense in the context of Seyfried’s proportions. Amanda Seyfried stands 5’2½” (158.8 cm), wears a US size 8 shoe, and regularly uses high heels to complement her petite frame. She has used that formula before with minimalist black Givenchy stiletto sandals, and these Miu Miu mules offered a similarly pared-back approach.
Crafted from black satin, the Miu Miu mules had a subtle sheen that elevated their otherwise simple construction. The open toe and completely open back created a lightweight slip-on silhouette, while the slim high heel added height without introducing another heavy visual element below the mini dress.
Their simplicity also made them versatile—the kind of heels that could work just as easily with a cocktail dress as tailored trousers. You can get them for $1,170 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Seyfried paired the mules with a custom Miu Miu mini dress in soft lilac. The delicate color suited the look’s summery mood, although I thought its closeness to her complexion washed her out slightly. What saved the dress from feeling too sweet was its mix of references: the spare, slip-like silhouette had a distinctly ’90s minimalism, while the cascading crystal fringe brought in a touch of ’20s flapper glamour.
That contrast between decorative clothing and relatively uncomplicated footwear is familiar territory for Seyfried. At the 2023 Met Gala, she similarly let an elaborate beaded mini dress command attention while barely-there Stuart Weitzman Nudistcurve stiletto sandals kept the focus on the dress and lengthened the exposed leg line.
The standout feature in Venice was the dramatic fringe hem, made from layers of clear and lavender crystal beads. I loved how the beaded fringe added sparkle and movement to the otherwise simple dress.
Up top, the loose silhouette featured a slightly gathered scoop neckline and a relaxed shape that ended above the knees. Ultra-thin shoulder straps were encrusted with shimmering crystals, adding another delicate detail.
She kept her accessories minimal with Tiffany Co. Victoria pearl-and-diamond drop earrings and a Knot Double Row ring. Her blonde hair fell in loose waves over one shoulder, while minimal lilac makeup kept the overall look fresh and summery.

Zoey Deutch’s Miu Miu Slingback Sandals Sharpen Her White Eyelet Mini Dress
Zoey Deutch also went for a breezy summer look that was youthful and effortlessly pretty. I loved how the simple black-and-white combination kept everything fresh, with her heels adding a dressier touch. She slipped into black patent leather Miu Miu slingback sandals, which brought a sleek, sophisticated finish to the look. The sandals had a minimalist silhouette with a slim buckled strap across the toes, giving the delicate shoes a slightly edgy touch.
At 5’3¼” (160.7 cm) with a US size 6 shoe, Deutch often uses heels to add height to her petite frame. The open almond-shaped toes kept these Miu Miu sandals light and summery, while the slim slingback strap sat neatly around her heel. Their 4-inch stilettos added substantial lift while preserving the shoe’s delicate silhouette.
It’s a formula Deutch had used just a few months earlier. In June 2026, she paired an ivory satin slip dress with black Gianvito Rossi Ribbon slingback sandals, another minimalist design featuring an open toe, slender straps, and stiletto heels. Her Miu Miu pair in Venice offered a strikingly similar combination of height and barely-there structure.

Deutch paired the black sandals with Miu Miu’s Cady Eyelet Lace mini dress, which had a summery, feminine feel. The white cady was covered in a delicate floral eyelet lace motif, adding texture and a romantic touch to the clean silhouette.
The head-to-toe Miu Miu look also wasn’t Deutch’s first outing in the Italian label. Her earlier Miu Miu look paired a cherry-striped jumper with checkered trousers and white lace-up booties, showing a much quirkier side of the brand than the streamlined mini dress and slingback sandals she chose for Venice.
I loved the fit of the white dress, which highlighted Deutch’s frame before slightly flaring toward the thigh-skimming hem. The halter neckline featured pinked trims that highlighted her shoulders, while the open back added a flirty touch. Delicate ties around the neck and sides held the dress in place while leaving most of her back bare.
Deutch kept her styling simple with a single ring and a Miu Miu black Wander Matelassé nappa leather mini hobo bag. She also added black sunglasses for a fun summer touch, while her tousled, wavy bob and soft, natural makeup finished her youthful look.

Seyfried and Deutch were part of a particularly footwear-heavy 2026 Venice Film Festival. Elsewhere on the red carpet, Ever Anderson wore sculptural pink Dior pumps decorated with 3D satin roses, while Kendall Jenner kept things minimal in beige Aquazzura So Nude sandals beneath an archival Giorgio Armani gown.
The festival also offered plenty of inspiration beyond those two looks. Kate and Rooney Mara experimented with peep-toe platforms, Aquazzura pumps, and Giuseppe Zanotti heels, while our 2026 Venice Film Festival celebrity shoe roundup covers more of the standout heels, platforms, slingbacks, and flats seen on stars including Claire Foy, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Laura Dern, and Amal Clooney.
Why Miu Miu Shoes Keep Appearing in Celebrity Style
Miu Miu has long appealed to celebrities because it makes femininity feel less predictable. Miuccia Prada’s playful sister label balances femininity with a rebellious, experimental streak, moving easily between crystals and satin, chunky platforms and distressed leather, delicate slingbacks and tougher boots. That tension gives stars room to look polished without playing it safe—and helps explain why Miu Miu shoes keep turning up on red carpets and fashion-week front rows.
