Styled by Cristina Ehrlich, the Marriage Story Best Supporting Actress nominee paired the burgundy suede knee-high boots with Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2020 and Delfina Delettrez jewelry.

The outfit layered an A-line burgundy leather midi dress over a ruffled, high-neck silk-chiffon blouse, allowing the structured leather, delicate ruffles, and tonal suede boots to do most of the work. Delettrez’s sculptural jewelry added a sharper finishing detail.

The shoes were Christian Louboutin’s “Levitibotta” tall boots from the Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Made with burgundy suede uppers, almond toes, and the designer’s signature red soles, the approximately 100mm heels used a transparent Plexiglas center framed by metallic detailing, creating the illusion that the boot was suspended above its base. It wasn’t Dern’s only memorable Louboutin boot moment: she has also worn the designer’s pointed French Tutu ankle boots.

Originally priced at $1,575, the Levitibotta is no longer part of Christian Louboutin’s current collection. Shoppers looking for the discontinued style will generally need to search luxury resale and consignment marketplaces, where availability and pricing depend on size and condition. Dern attended the luncheon alongside fellow nominee Florence Pugh.
