Normani first became widely known as a member of Fifth Harmony, where statement heels were already part of her red-carpet wardrobe. As her solo career developed, her style became more individual, pairing body-conscious silhouettes and couture with an increasingly varied collection of designer shoes.

From Christian Louboutin stilettos to barely-there sandals, footwear has remained a consistent part of that evolution. The metallic silver Giuseppe Zanotti heels she wore to KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Los Angeles on December 6, 2019, are a particularly clear example: a simple strappy sandal set against a much busier printed mini dress.

How Tall Is Normani? Her Height and Shoe Size

Normani is 5 feet 4 inches (162.6 cm) tall and wears a US women’s shoe size 8. She has described herself as 5’4″ on social media and told Vogue, “I’m about 5 foot 4.”

Her height doesn’t dictate one particular type of footwear. Normani has worn spiked pumps, platforms, transparent heels, and slender ankle-strap sandals, with her broader red-carpet shoe history including Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo. She has also paired Versace with Jessica Rich’s clear Love pumps, another example of the streamlined footwear that frequently appears in her wardrobe.

From Fifth Harmony to Normani’s Solo Red-Carpet Style

That fashion transition was particularly visible in 2019. At the MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on August 26, Normani performed “Motivation,” won Best RB Video for “Waves” with 6lack, and walked the red carpet in a glittering Nicolas Jebran cutout gown with red Christian Louboutin sandals.

The appearance came during an important period in her solo career. Following Fifth Harmony’s indefinite hiatus in 2018, Normani had collaborated with Khalid on “Love Lies,” released music with artists including Sam Smith, 6lack, and Calvin Harris, and joined Ariana Grande on the Sweetener World Tour.

Her VMA performance also showed the practical side of her stage wardrobe. For “Motivation,” she swapped red-carpet stilettos for white sneakers with a lavender cutout performance look.

Weeks later, Normani performed in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty presentation during New York Fashion Week. The appearance led to a larger relationship with the lingerie label, and Rihanna subsequently named Normani its first brand ambassador.

Normani also attended Rihanna’s Fifth Annual Diamond Ball in New York City on September 12, 2019, pairing a sculptural white J’Aton Couture gown with matching ankle-strap sandals.

Normani Pairs a Green I.Am.Gia Mini Dress With Silver Giuseppe Zanotti Sandals

At KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Los Angeles on December 6, 2019, Normani changed direction again, pairing a green printed mini dress with reflective silver sandals.

Her sheer mesh I.Am.Gia dress featured a ruched, body-hugging silhouette with a high neckline, long sleeves, and a thigh-grazing hem. Floral-vine and snake motifs covered the green fabric, giving the dress considerably more visual detail than her pared-back footwear.

She wore her hair in a curled half-up ponytail with extensions and echoed the color of the dress with green smoky eye makeup, finished with a glossy nude lip.

A Closer Look at Normani’s Silver Giuseppe Zanotti Heels

Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings picked up the shine in Normani’s silver Giuseppe Zanotti heels. The open-toe sandals featured a slim toe strap, an ankle strap, a high stiletto heel, and a mirror-like metallic finish that worked almost like a neutral against the green I.Am.Gia print.

On Normani’s 5’4″ frame, the combination of a barely-there silhouette and reflective silver kept the footwear visually light rather than cutting abruptly across the leg. This styling effect appears elsewhere in celebrity dressing, from Xochitl Gomez’s mirror-finish silver pumps to Kylie Minogue’s towering silver platform sandals: metallic footwear adds shine while preserving a clean visual line through the ankle and foot.

The silver also gave the outfit an easy point of contrast. Instead of competing with the dress’s floral-vine and snake motifs, the sandals added brightness and polish, while Normani’s glossy nude pedicure kept the open-toe finish understated.

Normani’s exact metallic sandals date to 2019, but Giuseppe Zanotti continues to revisit silver as an evening-shoe staple. As of August 2026, the collection includes barely-there stilettos such as the Intriigo Strap 105 ($950), alongside more embellished designs including the New Cruel 105 ($2,775) and Intriigo Cris 90 ($950, marked down to $475 when checked). Strappy, open silhouettes have appeared repeatedly in Normani’s solo wardrobe, although her shoe choices are far from limited to one formula. She has worn everything from transparent Jessica Rich pumps with Versace to Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo heels, giving each YNS look a different perspective on her evolving footwear.

Normani Changes Into Platform Boots for Her Jingle Ball Performance

For her performance later that evening, Normani traded both the green mini dress and silver stilettos for footwear better suited to choreography. She took the stage in a crystal-embellished white turtleneck bodysuit, matching cutout chaps, and towering white platform boots.

How Normani’s High-Heel Style Compares With Other Petite Singers

Normani’s footwear has evolved from the statement shoes of her early Fifth Harmony red-carpet appearances to the sleeker stilettos and barely-there sandals she has favored as a solo artist.

At 5’4″, she’s also in good company among petite singers who have made high heels part of their signature style. There isn’t one formula: Ariana Grande gravitates toward towering platforms, Nicki Minaj embraces dramatic statement heels, while Vanessa Hudgens often favors more delicate, barely-there sandals.
